In the shadow of occupation, Palestinian students are not only scholars — they are activists, organizers, and voices of a free tomorrow. On campuses like An-Najah University, their courage is met with constant surveillance, arrests, and harassment. Speaking out is dangerous. Existing with dignity is revolutionary.

That’s why Stichting Handala launched the Legal Support for Students project: a lifeline for those who dare to dream aloud.

What We Do

We provide young Palestinian students — especially those engaged in peaceful activism — with:

  • Legal defense in the face of arbitrary arrests.

  • Training on their legal rights under occupation.

  • Workshops in nonviolent resistance and movement building.

Our legal teams work closely with students and families, ensuring they are not left to face the system alone. We equip them not only to survive — but to lead.

Why It Matters

Student activists are the heartbeat of any liberation movement. Silencing them is a priority for the occupier. Empowering them must be a priority for us. With the right support, they transform fear into fire — and repression into resolve.

Stand With Them

Defending a student’s right to resist is defending the future of Palestine itself.
Support the defenders of dignity. Support the movement’s next generation.
